Because I am not completely immune to self-harm, I thought this would be a good idea. I'm going to lay my cards on the table at the start: I'm With Her. Trump is so divorced from reality that he is a danger to the international economy and I will have to send cards of sympathy to every American diplomat. As for the other candidates, the Libertarian's a bit evil and the Green's a bit mad, so Im ignoring them.

Moderator Lester Holt, you have my sympathy. America, you have more than my sympathy. We had an election debate that lasted about three months in Australia this year and we were OUTRAGED at the tedium. How you manage this circus every four years is a mystery.

And here we go. Lester, you look like a lovely man. May God be merciful towards you. Bwahahaha! Two minutes to respond! Yeah, that's going to work.

Hillary is wearing a red power panstsuit and Donald is wearing a blue tie (with expected grey suit). Clearly both have decided to take the colour codes of the opposition. Both colours also very flattering to the respective complexions of the candidates.

To start, achieving prosperity. Record 6 years of job growth under Obama is mentioned, but income inequality is also flagged. Which candidate will do a better job?

Hils starts with thanks. And reframes the question a little, mentioning her granddaughter. 'We have to build an economy that works for everyone and not just those at the top.' She knows that jobs need infrastructure and investment in research and small business. Raising the national minimum wage and equal pay are mentioned, along with company-wide profit sharing. Great mention of the need to balance family and work, because America, you have SHIT working conditions. She gives a mention of how to pay for it by closing tax loopholes. Finishes with a comment that the voters need to judge who can best shoulder the immense responsibilities of the Presidency.

Donald starts by saying jobs are fleeing the country, in direct contradiction of reality and Lester's question. As is too often the case, he sounds like a string of unrelated soundbites flung together. 'We have a very good fight and a winning fight. They're using our country as a piggy bank to rebuild China' I have learned things about Trump's opinions on China and Mexico, but not America. 'Thousands of jobs are leaving' is apparently the only point he wants to make. He apparently agrees with the need for childcare but not how to provide it. 'We have to stop our jobs from being stolen from us and our companies from leaving the United States.' He speaks so slowly that I can get a lot of this down verbatim. He'll be slashing company taxes which 'will be a job creator like we haven't seen since Ronald Reagan.' NB, Reagan's term was the start of globalisation and the sending of US jobs going overseas.

Hillary responds with saying that trade is iportant, 'We are 5% of the world population and need to trade with the other 95%.' 'We need a tax system that rewards work, not just corporations.' Points out the failure of trickledown economics throughout history. Diescribes the differences in her upbringing and Donald's, her father a small businessmen, his a millionaire. 'Donald was very fortunate' and 'he really beleievs that the more you help wealthy people the better off we'll all be' 'My faher was a small businessman ... what I believe is that the more we can do for the middle class the better off we'll be and the more we'll grow.'

Lester asks how Donald will bring back the companies that have left. 'My father gave me a very small amount in 1975.' Personally, I would happily settle for a small amount of US$15mil, you know. It doesn't even need to be at 1975 values! He says China is 'taking our jobs. They're giving incentives, they're doing things we don't do.' He calls Hillary 'Secretary Clinton' and checks that's OK by her in a manner that makes me want to kick him in the goolies, then says that it's all her fault companies have gone abroad. Or, you know, as we see it here in the real world, the fault of Reaganomics and the neocon agenda of offshoring that has been pushed by the GOP for the last 30+ years.

Donald, you haven't even brought YOUR companies back to the US, FFS. He's bashing politicians again as special interests. Says 'We can stop them from leaving' about companies but not how.

Hillary reminds the audience of the global financial crisis 'In large part because of tax policies that slash policies on the wealthy' says GOP 'took their eyes off Wall St and created the prefect storm' Mentions that 9 million people lost jobs during the GFC and talks about 8 years of walking it back, and the economy being now on the precipice, with success in one direction, disaster in the other. Talks of the danger of going back to the same policies that screwed the world in 2007-08. Mentions the many international experts that have looked at both plans, Donald's equal 3+ million job losses. Hers, 10 million new jobs. Talks about the need to be the Clean Energy Leaders and grab the jobs that come with that role as well as bringing the US energy idependence. Talks about her specificity when it comes to economics and never going back to the pre-GFC days.

Trump says they invested in a solar project that was a disaster for the US. The US energy polices are all disastrous, apparently. The Obama administration too much debt, we can't do it! We have to give companies all the incentives. Namechecks Michigan and Ohio again, which I now beleve to be blighted wastelands in the manner of a Mad Max film, but without the cool soundtrack. Tells us Hillary has been here for 30 years and Hillary hasn't done anything in that time.

Hillary reminds people that Bill, her husband who was actually in power 30 years ago, did a great job of raising incomes in the 1990s, and jobs. Talks about her time in the Senate, and her record of getting bills through that would help Americans. Talks about her understanding of trade policy and some big achievements over the years.

Donald says NAFTA, which Bill signed, is the worst trade deal ever signed in the US. Maybe anywhere. Donald has clearly never seen an Australian trade deal. Hillary wants to approve TPP, allegedly, and will sign it if she wins. TPP IS GOLD FOR THE US, DONALD! It's pants for the rest of us, so I am happy to see it go, and thrilled that both of you have promised to kill it. Donald now hectoring Hillary. 'Is it Pressident Obama's fault?!?!' Calm response from HIllary. Donald shouts,'You have no plan!' Hillary replies, 'I do, Ive written a book about it. You can pick it up at the airport.' I should probably read one of her books, now I think about it.

Direct Donald quote, 'You are going to approve one of the biggest tax cuts in history! You are going to approve one of the biggest tax increases in history!' He's a wee bit overwrought.

Donald complains about regulations and says they all need to go, but taxes need to go more. Hillary points out that her webpage is fact checking all comments in the debate. Hillary mentions how her plans work.

Trump will not shut up. He is waving his hands around. They are not large. He decries her plan to fight ISIS 'You're telling the enemy everything you want to do. No wonder you've been fighting ISIS your entire adult life!' She gives that the look it deserves.

Donald talks about his tax cuts for the wealthy, which will be great for the middle class. In exactly the same way it was great in the Reagan and Bush eras. Oh, wait, no, it was a disaster. Apparently bureaucratic red tape is stopping companies bringing trillions of dollars into the US and with a little leadership it could happen tomorrow.

Hillary points out she will be blamed for everything by the end of the debate. Trump craps on blathering over her. She talks about the tax proposals on the table. Donald's contain the Trump Loophole that will benefit his companies and families, it's trickledown again, which has never worked and which creates the mess that gave us the GFC. Clinton says many wealthy people agree that top-down isn't equitable, investing in the middle classs is a better use of money and will boost the economy. Broad-based inclusive growth is what we need, not more upper level income inequality.

Donald: Typical politician. Sounds good, doesn't work. Our country is suffering. We have the worst recovery of an economy since the great depression. We are in a bubble now, believe me. We have a Fed that's doing political things, by keeping the interest rates low. Believe me. The day Obama leaves to go and play golf for the rest of the life, bad thigs will happen. Believe me.

Fact check: The current US recovery is the slowest of the Post-War era, but certainly not since the Great Depression. The GFC was also the greatest economic disaster since the Great Depression. It was largely caused by a lack of regulation.

Lester points out that Trump has not released his tax returns.

Trump: I dont mind releasing, it will be released as soon as the audit is ended. I filed a 104 page fnancial statement. It shows income, $694million this past year. [HOW CAN HE BE DOING SO WELL IF THE COUNTRY IS DOING SO BADLY??] Lester, we have a trade deficit with all the coutries we deal with.

The US does have a huge deficit, but has had it since 1975. Again, if Donald wants to walk back globalisation, he can start with his own companies.

Lester: The IRS says you can release them while you're under audit.

Trump: I get audited all the time! Look at my financial diclosure statements! I will release my tax returns when she releases her deleted emails. EMAILS! DRINK!

Hillary: Another example of bait and switch. For 40 years, we've all released ours. Why won't he? I think there may be a couple of reasons. He's not as rich, charitable or solvent as he says he is. Or maybe he's paid nothing in federal taxes, because the only years he's shown, he paid 0 in federal income tax.

Trump DIRECT QUOTE: That makes me smart.

Clinton: 0 for shools, 0 for health, 0 for veterans. Financial disclosure statements are pants. We'll keep guessing at what he's hiding, but imagine the conflicts if he ever got near the White House. I made a mistake using a private email and wouldn't in future. I take responsibility for that.

Trump: It was done purposely.

He calls the email server illegal, which is wrong. It was not illegal and it was also done by Secretaries Powell and Rice. He talks about how rich he is and how underleveraged he is (not a position supported by what we know of his finances). He denies braggadocio. 'This country needs someone running it who has an idea about money.' 'We're $20 million in debt and we have become a third world country.' 'Look at our airports, you fly in from Dubai and you land here and it's like a third world country.' He's clearly never been to Sydney airport. Mentions 'We spent $6trillion in the Middle East', which is apparently a problem caused by Hillary Clinton and nothing to do with either of the Bush Presidents.

Hillary: If your main claim to be President is your businesses, then let's talk about all the people you've stiffed. Little workers and businesses you haven't paid.

Trump: Maybe they didn't do a good job and don't deserve pay.

That is not actually how contracts work, you know.

Hillary mentions her father's small business involved contracts honoured on both sides and mention Donald's bankruptcies.

Trump: It's all words. I built an unbelievable company.

This is true. I don't believe it.

Trump: When she talks about people that didn't get paid, I take advantage of the laws of the coutry. My obligation is to do well for me and mine. There are tens of thousdands who do very well out of me and they love me. We're opening up the old post office in Washington under budget and ahead of schedule. We should be running the country like that, but we don't have people who know what they're doing. People have no idea how to buy. Trump interational is way under budget.

Lester: The share of Americans saying race relations are bad in this coumtry is the highest in decades. One of you will have to heal the divide. How?

Hillary: Race remains a significant chanllenge. It still determines too much about a person's ability to succeed, or even live.

She mentions Tulsa and Charlotte. 'We have to restore trust between communities and police, help police training, mutual respect needed.' It's a measured and reasonable response that goes with her record but lacks a bit of passion. She acknowledges it's a system-wide problem that needs work across the whole community. Is brave enough to mention the gun epidemic and gun violence.

Trump: Secretary Clinton doesn't want to say Law and Order, but we need it.

Do we? It's not that good a TV show. Hardly pivotal to Western Civilisation.

Apparently 'we need law and order in our country.' 'I just got today an endorsement from another police group.' 'Our inner cities are living in hell because it is so dangerous. You walk down the street, you get shot.' 'In Chicago they've had thousands of shootings this year. We have to stop it by bringing back law and order. Almost 4000 people in Chicago have been killed since Barack Obama became president.' Suggests stop and frisk. Take guns away from criminals. Apparently those criminals are often illegal immigrants, and our police are afrad to do anything.

It is true that there have been 3000+ shootings in Chicago this year, but the sad fact is that this an historic problem. Homicide in Chicago is actually significantly down since the 90s and there is almost no difference in the rates between the Obama and Bush administrations' figures.

Lester mentions stop and frisk was ruled unconstitutional in New York as it was racial profiling.

Trump: No, you're wrong. It was a bad judge. A good jusge was going to overturn it, but they were stopped. These are bad people!

I have no idea what he is actually arguing at the moment because I don't speak crazy billionaire. Agrees we need better relationships between the communities and the police. True. 'But look at Dallas where the relationships were beautiful and then 5 police officers were killed. We need law and order! In the inner cities! It's unfair to African American and Hispanic people!' I've got nothing.

Clinton: It's unfortunate Donald paints such a dire picture of black communities in our country. They're actually vibrant and growing and have a lot we should be proud of. There are good ways to lift people, and there are ineffective ones. I believe in community policing, and violent crime is half what it was 25 years ago. But there are too many consequences of some of our programs that we don't need: black and Latino men in jail for thngs that are minimal and wouldn't jail whites. We need to address systemic racism. Law and Order isn't a plan, we need diversion from prison, dealing with manadtory minimums, have second chances, get rid of private prisons.

It's all good stuff and things that have actually worked around the world. Mentions getting rid of military style guns and a need for comprehensive background checks and no gun sales to terrorist watch list. In any other country that would be simple common sense, but the NRA has perverted American political discourse, so expect outrage from some quarters.

Lester asks if Hillary thinks police have implicit bias. She responds that sadly everyone has it. She wants police training for mental health as well, as there are now a lot of people on the streets with mental health issues.

Donald agrees that if you're on a watch list, you shouldn't have a gun. Which is a somewhat brave position as I imagine there will be some people in who hate him for that. Mentions HIllary's use of the term 'super-predator' about young black men and says that was awful. Says she secretly supports stop and frisk. In New York City it dropped murders of young black men by 75%.

Hillary says that under the current mayor crime has continued to drop in NYC witout stop and frisk. Donald says 'No you're wrong.' She's not. Hillary emphasises the need for effective programs that respect the rights of the people who live in areas where the programs operate.

Lester tries to get the question back to race. Donald wants to talk about how the African American community has been let down by politicians who only go and see them at election time. Democrats have controlled these comminitues for 100 years. Donald has met some of them. They're the greatest, and they're very upset. He's been out meeting people. Not like Hillary.

Hillary: I think Donald just criticised me for prepapring for this debate. I did. You know what else I prepared for? To be president.

LESTER MENTIONS BIRTHERISM!!!

Trump: It was all Hillary. Look it up. When I got involved, I didn't fail, I got him to give us his birth certificate. Anyway ISIS! JOBS! STRONG BORDERS!

Lester mentions the birth certificate came out in 2011, Donald kept birther stuff going till this year.

I MADE HIM PRODUCE THE CERTIFICATE! I did a good job. It was Hillary. Just like she can't bring back jobs, she can't produce. He should have produced it a long time before. I think I've developed vey good relationships with the African-American community. I think I did a great service for the preseindent in getting him to produce that certificate.

NB Hillary has NEVER suggested Obama wasn't American.

Hillary: What the hell was that? She reminds us Donald he started his poitical activity based on the racist lie that the first black US president was not a US citizen. Remember, Donald started hs business career being sued for not renting apartments to African-Americans. He was sued twice for this. He has a long record of engaging in racist behaviour, and the birther lie was a very hurtful one. The Obamas were too cool to engage, as Michele says, 'when they go low, we go high'.

Trump: You were so rude to Obama in the debates! You went after him! It was all you! Yes, when I was very young my father's company that I was running was sued. We settled the lawsuit, with no admission of guilt. Many real estate firms had that law suit brougt against them! It wasn't just us! I opened a club in Palm Beach that lets anyone in! Everyone gives me great credit for this.

Lester askes about cyber attack in the US.

Hillary says cyber warfare is a huge challenge with two different types of adversaries, some independents looking for profit, others from states, most recently Russia. Donald likes Putin, but Putin is playing a long game with us and the Russians want to create havoc and gather information. We will defend vigorously, and the Russians understand that. I was shocked when Donald publicly invited Putin to hack into Americans. That's why secrurity experts say Donald is a threat.

Donald: I was just endorsed by over 200 admirals and generals. That just happened and many more are coming. That just happened and I'm very proud of it. So when she talks about this, I'll take the admirals and generals any day over political hacks. Look at the mess we're in. As far as the cyber, I'll agree to parts of what she says. Everyone's saying Russia, but it could be China, or soeone sitting on their bed who weighs over 400 pounds [DIRECT QUOTE]. What did we learn? You guys rolled Bernie. Under Obama, we've lost control! We came up with the iternet and now Isis are using it to beat us at our own game. We have to get really tough. The securty aspect of cyber is very tough, but we're not doing it! We have to do better.

Hillary: We need to go after ISIS online, with the help of our tech companies.

She gets diverted into talking about ISIS here, which is only a art of the question. Gives details, which are at least coherent. Mentions her work against Al Qaeda and says they need to go against Baghdadi as they went against Bin Laden.

Lester asks about radicalised nationals and preventing home-grown attacks.

Trump: Obama and Clinton created a vacuum the way they got out of Iraq and ISIS was formed. THIS IS NOT TRUE. Says 10,000 troops left on the ground would have stopped it, or taking all the Iraqi oil. THIS IS A WAR CRIME AS WELL AS COMPLETELY IMPRACATICAL

Clinton: Donald supported the invasion of Iraq. Bush made the agreement about when American troops would leave Iraq, not Obama. Back to Lester's question, we need an intelligence surge looking for every scrap of information. Our law enforcement was so good this week and brought down the most recent attacker alive, so he is now a source of information. We need to work with ur allies and share information. Donald doesn't like NATO or Muslim nations, but they're our front lines where we get information from.

She's so very strong here, in contrast to Trump's blather.

Trump: We've been working with them for many years, you look at the Middle East and it's a mess and it's all your fault. Your Iran deal is rubbbish. I was asked what I think of NATO. I'm a business person, I have common sense. Many of those countries aren't paying their fair share. I spoke about this and said NATO could be obsolete because they do not focus on terror. I was very strong. Now NATO is opening a major Terroror division [DIRECT QUOTE, BLOODY TERROROR!]. Now they're going to do it. I'm not going to get credit for it, but it's because of what I was saying. We need to knock the hell out of ISIS, which Hillary and Obama formed. It should never have happened. You were there when ISIS was an infant and now they're in 30 countries and you're not going to stop them. I DID NOT SUPPORT THE WAR IN IRAQ.

Now Donald is speaking over Lester. Lester sticks to facts, saying that Donald is on record as aupporting the war in Iraq. This is a thing that happened. Donald talks about journalists who are his friends who will back him. Donald does this weird thing with his hands, which is distracting and makes me wonder if he missed his calling as an interpretive dancer. 'I have much better judgement than she has. I also have a much better temperament' he says. 'I have a winning temperament, I know how to win. She does not have that.'

Hillary laughs. Then talks about NATO, with some fact-based commentary, talking about how NATO came into Afghanistan with the US agfter 9/11 as part of the principle that an attack on one is an attack on all. Talks about the Iran deal and how it stopped Iran becoming a nuclear power, and how the deal was built in international coalition. NB IRAN NOW HAS A MODERATE LEADER. Mentions Donald talking about shooting Iranian sailors taunting Americans, and how that could start a war.

Donald: that wouldn't start a war.

Hillary: Talks about Trump's cavalier attitude to nuclear weapons. He snipes from the sidelines. Repeats a man who can be provoked by a tweet shouldn't have his hands near the nuclear codes.

Donald: I agree with one thing. Nuclear is the single greatest threat, not global warming. We defend all these countries, they don't pay us. But they should. We provide a tremendous service and we lose a fortune. If they don't pay a fair share, they may have to defend themselves.

Lester: we need to move on. And I am wishing I had gin in my water glass.

Donald: AHAHAHAHAHA! As though that's going to happen!

Lester: [No idea, satellite feed broke up.]

Donad: Russia has been expanding, they have much newer nuclear capability than we do. We have old B52s and are not keeping up with other countries. I would like everyone to get rid of nuclear, but I would not do first strike. China should go into North Korea and solve that problem for us. Iran is one of their biggest trading partners and Hillary's horrible deal with Iran should have made them do tings with respect to North Korea and Yemen. Secretary Kerry, who gave Iran $1.7 billion in cash for the hostages, apparently had a conversation with The Donald but god knows what was said because now hes talking about Netenyahu.

Clinton: Words matter when you're running for president or being president. I want to reassure our allies that we will honour our mutual defence treaties. I know you're worried. I want to reasssure you that our word is good. Let's look at the global situation: I'd rather deal with Iran having put a lid on their nuclear program. Donald never tells you what he's going to do. He criiticises, but no alternatives are offered. He says he has plans, they're secret. They don't exist. People around the world follow our campiagns to see if they can rely on us to lead the world with strength and values. That's what I will do: lead and stand up to bullies. We cannot let those who would try to destabilise the world interefere with American influence and opportunity. [And that's a not-so-subtle reference to the Trump-Putin bromance.]

Trump: Hillary's website will tell you all how to defeat ISIS, but she made them. I want to help all our allies, but we are losing billions of dollars. We cannot be the policemen of the world if they're not paying us. She wont say that becase she has no business abililty. She could have done all those things in the last 10 years.

Lester metions the underlying misogyny of the cammpaign, Trump blathers and says is a matter of stanima.

Hillary replies, 'As soon as he travels to 112 countries and negotiates a fraction of the things I have, he can talk to me about stamima.'

Trump: She's got experience, but it's bad experience. We gave Iran $150billion back. We can't afford your experience.

THE AMOUNT OF MONEY GIVEN TO IRAN HAS BEEN REFERENCED THREE TIMES, DIFFERENT NUMBER EACH TIME.

Hillary: He tried to switch from looks to stanima, but he has a history of sexism and here are a few examples…

Trump: It wasn't me! It never happened! None of these people exist! Rosie O'Donnell is awful! I was going to say something extremely rough to HIllary and I said to myself 'I just can't do it' But she's mean to me all the time! It's not nice!

Lester: Moving on. Please, God, let us move on. Are you wiling to accept the will of the people for the outcome of the vote?

Hillary: Yes. This election is up to you. It's about you. Get out and vote as though your future depends on it.

Donald: I want to make America great again! We're losing our jobs! We were deprting 800 people the other day, but they all became citizens! And now it might be 1800 and we don't even know! I'm going to make us great again. If she wins I will support it.

Lester: See you October 9th, for the love of tiny bunnies someone get me a gin!

I now understand why everyone says 'God Bless America', you have never needed divine help more. My thoughts are with you, and my prayers that you all have access to good gin!

I don't even like gin, but I may have to start drinking it before this thing is over.
I couldn't bring myself to watch tonight because I get heart palpitations whenever I think of Trump actually winning, so thank you for this.

I don't even drink, and yet I'm the same …

Heart palpatations are a perfectly reasonable response to the idea of President Trump. I'm likely to break a rib laughing iat the stupidity of it, before sinking into four years of gloom, along with the global economy.

I can't thank you enough for this! I was at work during the debate, and had my son record it for me, but now I don't need to watch it for which I am grateful .

You also made me giggle, which I needed after a long day at work.

I spent a moment feeling sorry for him, because he was so thoroughly outclassed, but then I remembered that he is basically the Oompa Loompas' Satan, so I went back to finding him incomprehensible and awful. I feel very sorry for the people who look to him as their hope, because he is everything that has screwed their lives over and they deserve better.

I knew I'd be out during the debate. Thank goodness, really.

I've thought this for a while, of course, but it's more evident than ever, having seen parts of the debate and read transcripts of it... how can this be happening? How can what these two people are doing actually be called 'a debate?' Because they are not even in the same league. They're just not! How is he even up there? How, how?

I'm so sad that there is even a possibility of him winning. And the thing is, I think, those people who are voting for him? Yeah, like he is going to be able to do ANY of the shit he is saying he will do. So they're voting for a complete tool, who will get nothing done. It's just... so shit.

Pass the gin.

Hillary got in a few zingers. I'm just waiting to see the reaction gifs made from her shoulder-shaking, sarcastic "O-kay!" she said at one point.

There were some places where she said some vague and kind of meaningless stuff, but no way did she bumble her way through the whole thing like Mister Drumpf. I didn't watch it live, but read NPR's transcript, and wow is he hard to follow. Completely regardless of whether I would agree with anything he said, it's verd hard to figure out what he is saying in a lot of cases because of the way he backtracks and repeats himself ten times in a paragraph. Hillary at least talks in relatively straight lines.

eta: Mentions Donald talking about shooting Iranian sailors taunting Americans, and how that could start a war.

Donald: that wouldn't start a war.

This bit, I couldn't even. Trump was like "well, they were taunting us" and I was like, "Did he literally just say 'well they started it!!'?" I don't care who started it, Donnie, we do not hit. Now go to your room and think about what you've done.

very astute summary :) and funny...
but not

He's so ridiculous that it's frightening how many people will vote for him. I'm in shock (but not) at the other half of the American public that thinks he should be president. So you can feel sorry for half of us. I suppose it'lll all come down to Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida yet again.

You might appreciate this: We watched the debates with the kids (13&15) on Monday. And my usually self absorbed unobservent 13 year old commented on Trump - "He talks like a 3rd grader" and my husband and I nodded in unison, that's exactly it. His language, tone, manner of speech, even content sounds like a 9 year old and the sad part is that a good segment of our population can't handle anything more mature or intelligent than that so thet relate to him. I actually so saw comments from a middle class blue collar worker type say that he's voiting for Trump cause Hillary said nothing that made him think she'd be good for the middle class. asdfghjkl;' ????????

This was great. You did a brave thing sitting through that car wreck and not even for your own country. I'm with her, too. Lots of sensible Republicans are coming out and repudiating that blathering menace called Trump. I give them credit for their moral stance, as they are getting criticized in the short term for it.

He can't slink back into his hole fast enough for me. We are rooting for him to lose big, his brand to crash and burn and become worthless, and of course for legal problems galore after the election over breaking the Cuba embargo, Trump University fraud, and tax issues relating to Trump Foundation. Those things should keep him pretty busy, but unfortunately none will send him to jail, IMO, and they will be painful financially but not debilitating.

My mom is a Canadian citizen, but she was watching this in another part of the house. About half way through, she shows up at where I am watching and says "I can't even vote and I'm on my second glass!" and hold up a glass of wine. She's 75, and couldn't stop laughing. He's insane. Totally insane. My mom is very conservative, and neither she nor my dad (who's passed away) would have likely considered voting for a Democrat. But I KNOW my dad wouldn't have gone near Trump, and my mom is now fully supportive of Hillary because the Republicans are so crazy. Most of the rest of my American family, even those who traditionally vote conservative, are also going to vote for her. My Canadian relatives are in shock this is happening.
