last hd_hols i was just teetering on the line between lurkerdom and fandom proper, and so i didn't comment on all the lovely fics i read during that fest (actually, i recall not quite being able to wrap my mind around what the hell a fest was at all. *laughs* the n00b days were humorous).

anyway, i have just re-read this for the first time since then and i have to tell you how utterly beautiful it is. your writing is seamless, flawless. the storyline feels wholly fresh. the dual voices elevated the entire thing to a level that is too gorgeous and complex for me to even describe properly.

but what i love the most about this story--and your stories in general, i think--is how you develop the friendships. not just between draco and harry, but between a whole web of characters that are just so honest, and so deeply affecting for exactly that reason. the whole thing just had a kind of quiet perfection, if that makes sense.

i truly loved it.
