I once helped burn an effigy of Brendan Nelson - it was while I was at Uni, and he was the champion of VSU. Fun times! A few days later we were in the bar heckling Eric Abetz, but in our defence he is an appalling human being and had gatecrashed a uni debate in order to support the Young Lib faction (we hated them with a burning passion, because they all seemed to be Engineering or Law students who had real coffee machines in their faculty buildings, and whose parents bought them new cars so they wouldn't have to work and thereby jeopardise their studying, whereas we Arts student scumbags had to put up with an eccentric Coke machine and the vagaries of the bus service).
Just out of interest, who would you cast as Pauline Hanson?
My favourite ever Dumbledore quote is, in answer to an enraged Country Party denizen - Winton Turnbull: I am a Country member! Gough Whitlam: Oh, I remember.
The ALP produces by the far the best quotes. And also, no member of the Libs has ever had a pop group named after them.
