Oh Aunty ...

The ABC's coverage of the cricket:
We made it through the drinks break, but not so far as lunch.

Ten-year-old lad: I still have hopes that we can bounce back in time for Sydney and do something there ... but Ricky Ponting's got to go.

(I was all touched by his faith at the start, then fell about laughing at his Firm Message to the Selectors.)

And Mr Brammers has spent the morning playing computer games and pretending to speak Esperanto whenever I say 'cricket'.

I'm listening to BBC World Service and they seem to be devoting a disproportionate amount of time to reminding everyone who won the Ashes. Independent reporting... I don't think!!

(Quite possibly, I could be just a tad oversensitive about this, though).

Pretending to speak Esperanto will obviously throw you off the scent!

Ran into the Barmy Army at Southgate, Melbourne tonight - oh Lords, they were loud. We fled to another Southgate venue that was hosting the Aussie cricketers, along with the wives (I refuse to call them 'WAGS') and about a dozen young children. Surprisingly, none of them looked that upset.

Cheers, Charlotte
