It's 20 degrees. And daylight! IT'S TWENTY AND I CAN BREATHE AND MOVE WITHOUT SWEATING AND TONIGHT I SHALL SLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP! HALLELUJAH!

A friend in Yangon told me that in really hot weather, she turns on the fan and puts a block of ice in a big bowl in front of it, so that the fan will blow the cool air around the room. Of course, this only works if there is electricity, which there often isn't, in the hot season, or if one has one's own generator, which many middle-class people have.
