There is nothing I don't love or don't agree with in this post. I can be very gen-y and say its an A++ post, but you get the idea.

I can say the reason I write fan fic is because I like to fill in the holes - I want to know what was going on behind the scenes while the big stuff was going on. I want to know about the little moments that make characters who they are, the ones you never see, just speculate about. And yes, I often put the characters together that *I* wanted to see. I will never believe that Harry and Ginny could last, or that there was enough real love there to produce three kids - at least not happily. So I write him with others. I'm not dismissing Rowling's vision - she is The Creator, after all -but I have a different one.

That's what's brilliant about writing; you have the universe laid out for you to play in freely. It's really a tremendous gift from any author. :)
