That is a fine and worthy rule that I, too, hold to. And yeah, it is looking more and more as though I now DO write in present tense, despite previously swearing never to do so (SotF was the first, and I have since done one present tense tale more for a friend). I must stop swearing that I'll never do things, because aside from never liking Dick Cheney or Tony Abbott, I don't seem to be able to stick to them ...
