Amusing, and sad

Was reading Ring for Jeeves the other day and burst out laughing. Colonel Aubrey Wyvern's third-rate domestic staff are named Trelawny and Bulstrode.

Also, Happy Birthday [personal profile] raitala! And happy birthday for tomorrow, [personal profile] draykonis.

In sad news, Min cat is now out of chances and is living out her last weeks with all the salmon she can fit in.  The lovely vet assistant from the uber vet dropped round her pain meds this evening. She doesn't need them tonight, but it's good to have them. Poor brave kitty.

I wish there was something *I* could do. We even bought lottery tickets in a bid to suddenly have limitless funds. But the truth of the matter is there's not really anything that can be done except provide comfort and amusement for her Minness. In terms of pure maths, she would probably have been put down or died of being outdoors years ago if it wasn't for us, so she's done well by the whole experience, but rationalising isn't quite as comforting as it could be.

The thoughts and support are, on the other hand, supportive. J cannot believe that there are people on four continents wishing the cat well. Min assumes it is her due.
