Yes, hope is the only thing to sustain us nowadays. One could get depressed every day listening to the news. But on the other hand, I don't think it was better at any time; there always are/have been lucky people/regions and some unlucky ones. I'm so thankful to live in a relatively safe place. Let's hope it stays so.
