The Canadians were running a Marry An American for Canadian Citizenship campaign after the last election, I think that many states would see another four years of the GOP as reason to offer asylum.

And yes, I do imagine there was a bit of cynical Hillary vote grabbing, but sadly, Sarah Palin is no Hillary Clinton.
