I have a suspicion that Narcissa's child rearing technique was along the lines of 'I will do everything for my child! Except that, it's icky/banal/could be done by anyone ... Oh, look, he's being interesting! Mine!'

Not that I would be at all familiar with that style of parenting.

I am now suspecting that I have been all wrong about thinking of Byron seriously. If you can do comedy artwork, we could be onto a goldmine ;-)
