A post with actual HP substance!

Before getting to the meat of the matter, a moment to say [Poll #1427787]I've used check boxes because I can be taught ;-) BTW, please mentally add in the other exclamation point, I had exceeded my daily quota ...

My friends who love Buffy and Firefly have a saying, that a character has been 'Jossed' when they are suddenly and unexpectedly slaughtered. After devastating main casts and wiping out most of the earth's population, I think it is safe to say that Russelled would be more appropriate.

If the seminars do not get up this time, I am writing a big thing on that exact topic at the moment, which may help. And I will one day get my arse into gear enough to have editing juju left to me at home so I can finish your story (I suck!)

OH HAI WASH!!! Or rather, OH BAI WASH!!! I am familiar with that one. It's all a bit conflicting, because it was an excellent political thriller, really tightly scripted and acted, it just wasn't really Torchwood.

ANYWAY, trying to avoid getting my fandoms muddled (I am now up to three separate LJs and associated emails trying to keep this stuff straight), either seminars or your writing thing would be awesome, because I have been scratching away at a few things, and I suspect I have mostly got myself in a muddle. Teach me things, oh wise one!

I am beginning to fear that the problem is that there is so much wrong with the story that it's sapping your will to live. ;o)

No, quite the reverse! Bad stories that require enormous amounts of broad effort are actually very easy to edit. Good ones that require close concentration and a fine touch are FAR harder, and so I pop them down my list a little and wait for the days when my brain is working. (which used to be more frequent!)
