EEEK!

Can't liveblog, too scared!

Though a few moments ago the tally ticker at the bottom of the ABC coverage went from about 69-69 between the ALP and Libs, to 62-70, then to 62-54, without a corresponding rise in the In Doubt seats (it's all speculation on current counts).

'What happened to those other seats?' someone asked.

'It's Tasmania and Western Australia,' I said, 'they've seceded.'

There was a pause. 'Well,' said my friend, 'I'd believe it of WA ...'

'they've seceded.' Huh??

I'm not even watching, I have glanced ocassionally though.

How long are you up here for?

It's positively horrifying. Although I'm watching the AEC tally because ABC keeps making me want to climb underneath the covers and not come out until the age of reason dawns.

Cherry and I were discussing Victoria seceding - I figured we could take Tas and NZ with us, yeah?

Yaye for Melbourne! The Greens really do have to start thinking as a third party and not just the whole 'balance of power in the Senate' now - given the figures across the Board.

But OMG, South Australia, what are you thinking?

*decides to go sleep as I can't change the outcome now*

*laughs* I was wondering what happened to those seats too.

I'm trying not to think about it. And then I keep thinking about it. :(

I am being a mushroom I refuse to look at the news coverage. I feel sick to my stomach like I never have before in my life over this election. I voted and I will just have to live with whatever the outcome is... I wonder if it is too late for Hugh Jackman to to lead whatever party that wins so that at least we can all have someone nice to look at when they spin their bullshit at us.
