Um ... no prizes

I did write for [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays , but there are no prizes for guessing which one I wrote as it needed to be done very quickly, and so is blindingly obvious. I'm going to talk about this far more after reveals, but I just want to quickly note that [livejournal.com profile] nursedarry  is an absolute treasure and a bloody marvel who gave up a significant part of her Christmas break so that I could turn in an edited pinch hit (and what a joy she is as an editor!) when the wondrous [livejournal.com profile] jadzialove  and indefatigable [livejournal.com profile] treacle_tartlet  were both trapped in the internetless wilds of two great countries after their invaluable help on the first part ;-)

Related to this is a round of loud applause for the [livejournal.com profile] hd_holidays  mods who have done an amazing job under duress. Though next year I will be completely avoiding the lot of you lest you awaken my dregs of human kindness again.

I was going out today, but accidentally turned the cricket on. Oh well, two days of work and then the weekend!

Mr Cook is rather awesome, and not a little delicious.

I'm also all for good causes, but it didn't take me long to get over the whole pink thing (and the television sop that went with it). Honestly, it was like an explosion of finger buns at the CWA bake sale. My teeth were hurting after just a few minutes of it.

Hard hearted, cynical old crank, aren't I?

(I have little regard for Australia's much-vaunted good-sportsmanship, which I've seen little evidence of in real terms)
