In search of a really dumb answer, and further proof of dimness

Brit flisters, I need your help. There is a particular type of Fondant Fancy that I think comes in a pink or yellow packet and definitely has your traditional pink, yellow and brown-iced cakes, but they are diamonds not squares and they are especially awful/brilliant and I would know them to look at them in an instant, but cannot remember the name or where one buys them to save my life.

You can buy them at a two storey supermarket of a very common type right next to either Victoria or Green Park.

I was hit in the head with a taxi, and then bounced on said head across a major thoroughfare, I have a perfectly legitimate excuse for being this vague!

That said, I have no excuse for my appalling tardiness when it comes to birthdays. You would think I could make it through one month, but no.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for today to [livejournal.com profile] joanwilder , [livejournal.com profile] sparemint  and [livejournal.com profile] vaginal_parfait , I hope it is absolutely spectacular for each of you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WEEK
to [livejournal.com profile] banbury , [livejournal.com profile] lietothedevil  and [livejournal.com profile] unomesowell  for the 19th and to the lovely [livejournal.com profile] angelofcaffeine  and [livejournal.com profile] suonguyen  for the 17th, I hope that it has been filled with festivities, or at least pleasantly calm!

You know, I recognise all the words, but the language just doesn't compute *headdesk*

Ah well. Hey, lovely. How's the foot coming along?

I only know the square ones I'm afraid - never seen a diamond shaped one.

As [livejournal.com profile] calanthe_fics says, I think you're talking about French Fancies - if you remember them being more diamond-shaped, perhaps you used to buy the store-own version?

*now wants French Fancies*

Mr Kipling now does a giant sized French Fancy birthday cake - utterly disgusting yet strangely addicitve/

I think M calls them 'iced fancies'... he's from Yorkshire way, though, so I'm not sure if that's a regional thing.

And what?! Were you really hit in the head with a taxi? I ask, not because I doubt the plausibility of such a thing, but because nobody else seems to have mentioned it...

Thank you for the birthday wishes! And now I am craving French Fancies, om nom nom.
