I think Americans are smarter than that …

Saw The Avengers tonight with the lovely [livejournal.com profile] pushdragon, and we enjoyed it very much. The script was a thing of joy :-)

But I have a quibble, that isn't worth a spoiler cut because every American super/monster movie made since 1930 has had a fight scene in New York, so of course this one does, too.

And I do not believe that in this day and age, when New Yorkers see things exploding in the sky, their response would be to stand there and gape. Rick Rescorla had a bigger impact than that, oh film-makers!

This, and one other thing, and a few pacing issues aside – it's terrific!

I could only do ballet or theatre make-up until I was about 30, so when I decided I should learn how to apply it for normal life, I approached the whole thing in the spirit of scientific enquiry ;-) I have considered a beauty blog, but I fear it would have a level of experimental rigour and snark that most beauty people would not be keen on ...

And PERFECT! The Victory rolls would be particularly spectacular. I hope you post photos!

I bought the perfect red lipstick thanks to your advice (I'd so read your beauty blog!), so thanks; the bonus is that it lasts forever. And I hope there will be photos!

OK, so the photos are up on my LJ,< if you want to see them. I also wrote a review, in Polish, with using far too much capslock, on my other blog. I love that movie and I'm going to see it again today.
