Hang on …

There's a second series of The Bletchley Circle? [livejournal.com profile] inamac, thank you! I had no idea until I saw your post.

Calculates time to screen in UK, then short pause before DVD release, then postage time …

You're welcome! I hadn't realised until fairly late as I rely on Radio Times for my TV news, and since BC is an ITV programme it doesn't get much coverage (and what it does get is sideways sneering).

Current series is two stories each divided into two episodes.

And it's twice as long as the first one, with two stories in it.

I'd heard they made a second series....ABC1 had some success with the first series, so here's hoping they show it here soon!

Ugh, I tried valiantly to find it online, but alas. At this rate I'll be waiting for the year it takes to show up on iview.

Hope I get to see this here in the US. The first one was really good. I was appalled at how women were viewed and treated, much worse than was depicted in Mad Men, which was set much later. Anyone who thinks feminism is man-bashing doesn't really get it. Women are still discriminated against in all walks of life. You have to keep fighting, just like all the other people who are being discriminated against in today's 'modern' world. There is always somebody just waiting to find a reason to look down on someone else.
