Travelling

I am in New Zealand and it is as staggeringly beautiful as ever. So far I have accidentally bought the world's cutest ukulele, fed pigs, rescued a calf, chased goats and helped with maths homework. I wanted to groom something, but the calves were skittish and the sheep wholly against the idea.

I absolutely love New Zealand. Being in London means travel there has to be carefully planned as not every holiday benefits from a 26 hour flight, but I really do want to go back and travel some more. Incredible place, and one where I have a number of good friends. Have a wonderful time!

26 hour flight

Indeed, two 26-hour flights is a bit much travel for a weekend! Even if friends of mine did prove it can be done (New Zealand to London, return, in a weekend[0]) providing you have an understanding boss that will let you leave a bit early on the Friday, and not complain too much when you're a bit late on the Monday.

[0] IIRC it involved the dangerous mix of a two-for-one special, two friends easily led astray by a crazy idea, and too much spare money. They managed to have lunch in London before getting on the return flight. Which to be fair probably doesn't count as seeing much of the country... but does pretty comprehensively win one of those "how far away did you go this weekend" competitions!
