Oh, I understand "diplomacy by dinner party", but not until I was out of college. I expect it's probably different if you grow up in the middle of it like Scorp did, but it's still something I wouldn't necessarily expect a teenager to understand. I can certainly see Narcissa doing it, and doing it well.
