Fantastic!

I really enjoyed this story. Thanks so much for writing! Your writing voice is very good and I appreciate the fact that your prose is rather sparse yet expresses so much. Also, you managed to make writing in the present tense work beautifully - present-tense is something that I generally don't favour, mostly because it comes over as so self-conscious.

Your characterization was pretty great, too. I enjoyed Narcissa in particular. And, even though briefly mentioned, ladiesman!Neville ... hehe, brill. I really liked the way you wrote the younger generation, and especially the interactions between Scorpius and Albus. I'm sorry, I don't have my head together enough to write a proper critical review of this story right now, or to go back and single out specific scenes, but there were some really great, poignant moments in this story.

I'm trying to figure out exactly what happened between Harry and Draco in the last battle - your story seems to imply something more than what happened in the books. Or perhaps I just need to reread.
Also, Ginny and Luna were meant to be a couple, right? I inferred that from the trip they were taking together, and from the "she definitely won't mind" comment. Heh heh heh. I really liked that you split up Harry & Ginny without making Ginny vengeful, a cheater or a bitch, as fanfic authors are wont to do. She's not my favourite character, but she's definitely gotten short shrift in the post-DH fanfiction. So yeah, I appreciated that you didn't go any of those routes.

The ending was cute, too ... the glance Harry gives to the boys before going into the study with Draco, ha ha! I loved that the boys were a bit squicked and bemused by it, but also pretty chilled out. Lovely.

There are certain things that I would criticize about this story (ask me if you want details on this) but overall I really liked it a lot. It's one of the best post-DH fics I've read.

Bravo!
