I can only read Nederlands (a bit!) and 'hear' some (a bit less than I can read), but speak almost none: I studied Old English for a while, so all the Scandinavian languages have basics that I'm OK with when it comes to understanding the pleasantries and basic instructions, then I have to rely on everyone else's superior language skills or my fine mime to reply ;-)
