Oooooh dear ...

Apparently, an American school principal told a lad to go home and change because his kilt could be misconstrued as crossdressing.

A local news source on the story includes this helpful line:
Kilts are traditional Scottish apparel, generally worn by men, often for formal or special occasions.
and some interesting comments.

But this source has the best picture editor ...

Dear bubba, that last link could stand as a birthday present to you! Have a very happy one, [livejournal.com profile] eynhashofet , you deserve it!

And [livejournal.com profile] silenceofcedars , I hope that the cake and good wishes fairy has rolled up to your house a little pleasantly tipsy and settled in for the duration.

So I married a cross-dresser? I can live with that. I wear trousers as often as I wear skirts/dresses; more often when I’ve got hairy legs.
We saw a man at the markets on the weekend in long brown corduroy a-line skirt, leather handbag and darling wedge heel peep toe blue leather shoes. I want a pair of those shoes! He wasn’t wearing make up, feminine hair or in any way trying to look like anything other than what he was – a man very comfortable in a skirt and heels.

Now THAT is a confident soul!

And Mr Killian may be a cross-dresser, but he is a very manly one!
