So sleeeeeeeeeeepy...

I had planned on posting something sensible, but decided to lapse into unconsciousness instead. As an apology, for anyone who has ever, in a very bored moment, wondered why I (indeed many of us) refer to the Australian Prime Minister as the Ruddbot and make a point to mention his very highly focussed earnestness, I offer this video from a local satirical programme.

And FC? I can almost see it ...

I'm so glad you brought this up, because I was lying sleepless last night just pondering Kevin Rudd! ;D

This is hilarious! But is it wrong of me to respond to his dry understatements more than some of the juicier end of the scale of American rhetoric?

Taken in the balance, it's a persuasive and compelling interpretation of the data!

But possibly not inducive to the large rallies and happily weeping electorate, I can see that!

It is a taciturn nation on the whole, more persuaded by a good sense of economic management than an ability to string together a sentence that could be understood by anyone without a degree in accountancy.

Which is remarkably sensible. Alas, so rarely do the two combine - maybe J can be persuaded to run for office? In due season, of course.

On the bright side, Rudd puts me to sleep less than Howard!

Howard NEVER put me to sleep, I would be pacing around frothing with rage for hours in response to any comment after the protection of East Timor (that was good). Kev allows me to sleep in his safe grey arms -- metaphorically speaking, it's my friend who has the crush ;-)

[livejournal.com profile] tiferet introduced me to the mattress-testing episode of that show, and I was charmed.

*snickers* He rather adorable though, with his chubby cheeks. Also, you never had to wince in horrific anticipation like we did whenever Bush opened his mouth!

That's going straight to the pool room!

*laughing!* I was reading an article, and it was all 'every country but the US has leaders who do things instead of just talk about things!'
