When I were a wee lass not every car came with seatbelts in the back and I spent a disturbing amount of time sliding across leather bench seats. When a truck accidentally backed into (more onto) that car, I demanded Dad buy one that had belts abungo! And I thoroughly agree with you on the buses. At least in Sydney they can't really get above 30km/h
