Urgh ...

It is 37C here today, which is 98.6 in Fahrenheit. I believe we may have sorbet for dinner. There is STILL A MONTH OF SPRING TO GO. Apparently, I am going to die in summer, alas.

And if there are any anthropogenic climate change deniers out there, just keep it to yourself as I am liable to blow steam out of my ears at the moment. I miss the days of simple El Niños ...

I hope the dessert bar has council approval. And opens soon. And is full of iced desserts and a wee bit of air-conditioning. I'm happy to pay extra for their carbon offsets!

Hot damn that's warm. Especially for spring. But then again, it's been 70 off and on over here for the past few weeks and we're in the middle stretch of autumn.

I may not be quite used to Pennsylvania weather yet, in my defense.

Also desserts = &hearts

You make a convincing case for avoiding Sydney altogether.

And then you make an equally convincing case for coming!

Damn.

The windows weather thingo says it is 33 degrees here but it is 6:40 pm to so it was probably hotter earlier.

Thank the stars for my mother buying me a climate control air con this past February.

All I can say is this weather is freaking ridiculous and that I will be turning into a hermit at this rate.

I'm so glad it's only about 20 degrees here right now.

ETA: On a climate change note... I remember a scientist in my climate change class saying the current weather was actually due to an El Niño, not due to climate change. I might be remembering it wrongly though. I remember lots of colourful graphs and complicated words.

I think we already are in an El Niño. We're doing that crazy cycle of cool and rainy for a couple of days, which then starts to warm and become humid, then one stupidly hot day where the temp jumps 5-10 deg from the previous day (hot winds optional depending on where you are), then a thunderstorm and we're back at the beginning again. That's the weather patten (for Wollongong anyway) that I tend to associate with us being in an El Niño.

My brother phoned me earlier to say it was reading over 40 deg on his car climate control at 6.30pm as he drove through Gladesville. This is crazy.

We're apparently expecting mid 30s next week, although we've been hitting higher than forecast for the last few days, regardless of the forecast.

*sigh*

I think I could have been happy living and dying before the time of Global Warming. I'm going back to working on my heart attack. Bugger this longevity thing. I'm outta here before the oil crisis and water crisis coincide and it all gets just a bit messy around the edges.

I don't know what it's like there, but sometimes, we'll get a really hot spring and then a mild summer. Here's hoping for that for you. I'm thinking we're going to have an awful cold winter here.

I'm sensing you will be camping out on the sidewalk in anticipation of the grand opening? lol

We had a weird summer. Around my deceased mothers birthday,
it got hot and humid. After work, my dinner would be
chocolate ice cream with assorted goodies in it.
It 'hit the spot'. I gained a couple #, which I am now
working off. But I can so relate to your comments.
