Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair

Have any of my London flistees gone to one? I am thinking the November one looks like A Good Day Out, even if it may require me purchasing another suitcase and paying punishing fees to get it home (that's always a possibility anyway, I have this problem with books ...). It would be lovely to know if it is as much fun and with as good a possibility of choice vintage haul as the images make out.

For those who are in the appropriate geographical region and are even now saying 'Woman, what are you blathering on about this time?', here's the website, and the October one is on next weekend. From 11am, £3 entry, vintage cafe and hair and make-up onsite, too!

I've never been to London, but when isn't a vintage fair good? I've been to some less than amazing ones, but they're still filled with fun things to look at and marvel over, thus they still qualify as good!

You make an excellent point, but it will be time not spent in the V&A, so needs to be reasonably good to make it worth not being in the V&A ;-)

Ah! I see your quandary! Best of luck with it then.

I will take photos wherever I end up.

That looks amazing. I may see if I can convince some of my London fen friends to go. You will be there? (You are in the UK?)

I may well be at the November one. I'm in Sydney today, will be in Italy in a fortnight, England a fortnight after that. Penury and exhaustion a fortnight after that ;-)

Well, I'd love to meet you in person. :) Husband has already claimed Oct. 17 for fishing, so maybe I'll see if I can go to the November one too.

I'll be kicking around for the week afterwards, and we'll be doing a run-in, run-out visit if we do go, so let's have a side plan of a catch up somewhere like the V&A tearooms or somewhere closer to you, as the market plan already involves a gang of four of my UK pals and I can see it turning into a circus if I try to extend it much beyond that.

The V&A tearooms sounds like a better plan. :) I'll check in with you closer to the time.

Excellent! Proper sit and chat! (No ulterior looking at frocks motives AT ALL ;-))

I need to be in London fairly soon to pick up some stuff from home and I think this looks amazing! :)

If you go to next weekend's (17th) let me know what it's like! It's only once a month, alas, but I am in town on Nov 14, happily!

Oooh that does look kinda like fun :)

Nothing like a good vintage fair! Maybe a good fair of vintages, but I don't drink enough to appreciate that ;-)
