I was going to write a rec tonight, but I checked my flist first, and the gorgeous [livejournal.com profile] painless_j  had already said what I was going to say, only better! If for some obscure reason you haven't friended her, click here to read why you should click somewhere else and read that. The fic in question was delightful, delicious, delovely and can be read by anyone, fandom or not. Thoroughly happy-making!

HEE! I saw our mean friends teasing you. Terrible, terrible people, each and every one of them. Bless their cotton socks!

It's a pan-fandom meme! This fic really and truly IS bringing us all together ;-)

Must you time your recommendations for when I've just woken from a nap and am not quite ready to return to work, but should? I've just lost more time than I should be sparing reading that story. Sure, I enjoyed it, but I'd really enjoy being finished writing up my research results, too, and reading fiction isn't going to help that goal.

*Looks guilty*
*Was going to post fic myself, which would have been worse because you would have felt obliged to write a nice comment, so really, this was me being helpful!*

GO AND WORK!

Mission accomplished--I not only worked, but I completed a task that should have been done ages ago and e-mailed the pretty figures to my (erstwhile?) boss for comment.

I never feel obliged to comment on your fic, but I do eagerly read it when you post it, because I like your writing. So feel free to post some...

Thank you for the rec. Tt was indeed awesome and was just what I needed to calm myself down over some drama right before bedtime.

And it's only 5 to 3 in the morning and I can sleep when I'm dead right?

Oh lambchop, I am sorry about your drama! But yes, very calming and uplifting fic. And Oh Bugger. I haven't even done my physio. Though given how manky my leg feels, maybe I need a night off.

I have no idea what BNF means and I get the feeling that I should if I am to read this story. Help?

Date: 2011-01-21 09:47 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] teganscrush.livejournal.com
As I understand it,BNF is Big Name Fan - someone who's a big shot in their particular fandom, whether its because of their writing, commenting, artistry or whatever. It can be both a blessing and a curse to be a BNF - they are easy targets, can be in the midst of drama of or not of their own making and either be deserving of high praise or ... well, not.

That's my interpretation, anyway. :D

It's entirely YOUR FAULT that I read that fic instead of writing this morning. *glares*

OMG, it was so much fun, wasn't it?! *loves*

Still ... today's word count is sad. :(

I reckon it is son_of_darkness's RL fantasy written by copperbadge. Discuss ...
