I was going to write a rec tonight, but I checked my flist first, and the gorgeous painless_j  had already said what I was going to say, only better! If for some obscure reason you haven't friended her, click here to read why you should click somewhere else and read that. As I understand it,BNF is Big Name Fan - someone who's a big shot in their particular fandom, whether its because of their writing, commenting, artistry or whatever. It can be both a blessing and a curse to be a BNF - they are easy targets, can be in the midst of drama of or not of their own making and either be deserving of high praise or ... well, not.

That's my interpretation, anyway. :D
