HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] enchanted_jae!

Damn LJ ate the first part of my post!

We had great plans to write a fic for you, but the childers are revolting. In facet, I am being forced to use all my funny voices and hand actions so [livejournal.com profile] treacle_tartlet   can go to the loo occasionally. Though saying apple struedel in a German accent is comedy gold to five-year olds.

So instead, Amusing Child Stories to Amuse you on your great day!

SG found a cat feather toy and was waving it around in the air singing 'Cock, cock, cock, cock!'

I looked at her and said, 'Are you saying cock?'

'Yes,' she explained, 'it's a BIRD!'

'Ah, is it a rooster? They call them cocks, you know.'

'No, it's a COCKATOO!'

I nodded sagely. 'Right, well, people usually say Cockie for cockatoo, it's considered more polite for some reason.'

She looked at me, she looked at Treacle, she shook her head.

'Well,' she declared loudly, 'I prefer cock!'

'... Stop laughing at me you grown-ups!'

In other news we saw Sammy from Dance Academy at the Happy Chef Chinese, which was declared the best day ever. Then the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge at the same time, ticking off the last of SG's Must See Before Death List, and we went to the ballet shop and bought leotards and practise slippers, then we did some ballet practise, showing off the fact I need to practise for about three years before I will actually be mobile again, and you will understand completely why we are so inept when it comes to celebrating you!

However, we both wish you the very best of best days, all the presents you can carry and all the cake you can fit in without bursting! MUCH LOVE!!!

Just looking at an old post that I am yet to finishing replying to comments on and I realised that it began 'Intellectually I am all over the Republican side of things …'

Americans, this does not mean what you think it means!

There are no small children near me -- HOW DO PARENTS DO IT? HOW???!!!
