HAPPY BIRTHDAY [info]goddessriss !

Your present is late!
I went camping.
Not in the Forest of Dean, but in similar cold and wet, and so achieved nothing in the writing stakes as I was too busy trying to warm up.

Now I have humans coming to visit and camping gear still all over the spaces they will doubtless want to sit in 16 hours or so. This does not bode well. But very soon, your present will be done!

In the meantime, I wish you the very best of the day. May the presents be many and well-considered, the cake be epic, and the well-wishers legion!

And while it is still the actual day of your birth, let me say a big thank you to all the encouragement you offer to so many people in the community. On the odd occasion when I have a crisis of confidence and think 'Maybe I really am just a vain numpty with good hair?', thinking of you boots me back into being a functional human being and finishing stories rather than having a whinge. And I know I am not the only one!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TOO, to
[info]southernbets !

You are a wonderfully generous person, thank you for all that you give to everyone! But remember to take just as good care of yourself. Here is the world's largest ice-cream cake (nothing less would be worthy of you) and some brilliant Chinese ice-cream cake makers to cheer for you having the best day and year imagineable! Yay you!

OMG I WANT THAT CAKE *G*

Aww, thank you! You are so sweet. I don't mind waiting, honestly, it'll be worth it in the end, I know it will. Plus, you do have good hair, which is always a bonus. Presents were good, even the very expensive set of anti-ageing potions my Mum gave me (nothing like those to make you feel even older!). And 2 kinds of cake!

Hurrah for the cake! Sorry for the tardy reply, there were children, then illness, and I am SO CLOSE to finishing your present! (Runs away to write more before sleep.)

Wow, that cake is incredible. You can even see every scoop! Park the Skoda made of sweets next to it, I say.

Yep! Well, there was. It might have been eaten by now. It was used in an advert: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLv77vwD2ts
