I must be on crack ...
Watching the news while writing, and the US election coverage is taking up a lot of airtime. I was astonished that the writer of the "Barak Obama, too radical, too risky" advert managed to stop before he or she added "too black". But that wasn't the scariest. I could well be on drugs, but it looked for all the world to me as though Sarah Palin has popped her Down Syndrome littlest into a Dumbo the elephant outfit.
Sarah! 8/10 for cuteness, but minus several million for tact!
I wish that Arnie hadn't been born in Austria, though. McCain/Schwarzenegger would have been a MUCH better ticket.

"When he was sworn into the senate he took his oath on the Koran, and he wants to take away all our guns so his friends can invade"
(in this case one assume said hick was referring to Muslims)

McCain, sadly, is supported by a LOT of ignorant racist bastards. There's that infamous old lady who said that she's afraid of Obama because 'he's an Arab'. And everyone knows about the Muslim slurs.
One day I sat and thought to myself "So what?". Why does being a Muslim automatically make you a horrible person? Obama isn't any of those things, but so what if he was? He's still the better choice, in my opinion, than the decrepit warmonger and the lady who counts herself an expert in international affairs because she can supposedly see Russia from her house.

It's a feeling shared by most Austrians, trust me. Especially when he keeps retelling the tearful story of how he fled our socialist hell of a country when he actually emigrated at a time when Austria had a conservative government. It's great fun to watch our current conservatives trying to cope with this little inconsistency in the Governator Myth ;))
