Home!

With only minimally bleeding nose (some of the capillaries are a wee bit fragile due to repeated breaking and do not cope well with sneezing when very dry. No, [livejournal.com profile] anthimaeria , I am really not hiding a secret history as a stuntwoman ;-)) I have made it home, to a happy J and two conflicted kitties. They keep running up to me for pats, then remembering they are meant to be cranky with me and jumping off the bed in crankiness.

The house is a tiny bit of a cat-covered disaster, which I take to mean that J has spent the whole time I have been away pining. This is right and proper.

Some of you may be wondering what the Florence meetup girls look like. As a guide, here we are represented by the Great Artists and Photographers. Here's [livejournal.com profile] raitala :

It neatly solved my how do I identify people without identifying people conundrum ;-)

I knew there should have been less snogging!

[identity profile] blamebrampton.livejournal.com 2008-11-20 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
It was great, but I now need to sleep a very great deal. And I seem to have started to say gotten, for which I blame watching Bones ;-)

You know, I do have 7m of red silk not doing anything ... I do love her.

[identity profile] blamebrampton.livejournal.com 2008-11-20 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
It's true. Though in the interests of accuracy, I should say that my body is less soft and rounded than hers, and more small and sporty gone to lard ;-)

Oooh! Make it, make it! It would be fantastic on you.

I know what you mean. I'm suitably relieved I'll get to really see you, as my imagination is running riot!

oh, this is so cool! could be a meme. :D

... O.o And I know you didn't mean for any of this to happen but I can't... I have to! THOSE CABBAGES!!! D:

[identity profile] maya231.livejournal.com 2008-11-20 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
Thank you!

[identity profile] pingrid.livejournal.com 2008-11-20 01:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you have something you want to say about my cabbages? *taps foot* ;)

[identity profile] grey-hunter.livejournal.com 2008-11-20 02:09 pm (UTC)(link)
*wants*

No, I mean, seriously. I have no idea who painted this one bad grey! but I think those vegetables and fruits turned out probably better than the woman.

[identity profile] pingrid.livejournal.com 2008-11-20 02:24 pm (UTC)(link)
They are some pretty good-looking fruit and veggies! The painting is by Joachim Beauckelaer; Market Woman with Fruits, Vegetable and Poultry.

Yup. No genetic modification, either! :) So, you're a marketwoman?

I must ask, because it is gorgeous, what is the source of the picture used for anthimaeria?

I love all of these, but find that one particularly compelling....

Thanks!

Nevermind! I got it. Gladys Cooper, yes?
Thanks for sharing these lovely images.
