Home!

With only minimally bleeding nose (some of the capillaries are a wee bit fragile due to repeated breaking and do not cope well with sneezing when very dry. No, [livejournal.com profile] anthimaeria , I am really not hiding a secret history as a stuntwoman ;-)) I have made it home, to a happy J and two conflicted kitties. They keep running up to me for pats, then remembering they are meant to be cranky with me and jumping off the bed in crankiness.

The house is a tiny bit of a cat-covered disaster, which I take to mean that J has spent the whole time I have been away pining. This is right and proper.

Some of you may be wondering what the Florence meetup girls look like. As a guide, here we are represented by the Great Artists and Photographers. Here's [livejournal.com profile] raitala :

These are wonderful, you've nailed everyone in some way! I'm a litte disconcerted to find myself nailed as Beuckelaer's Market Woman, but it's hard to argue against the truth. :D

Which one did you have in mind for you? I was going to suggest one of the Bronzino Eleonoras, maybe, but all these feathers are making it difficult to type. ;)

Look at the one of you I linked in my comment. I was disappointed I couldn't find an image of a steampunk Viking goddess in striped tights, but I guess there's only one of them. ;)

We might need Rai to draw one when she finishes everything else ...

Definitely! But I've got to get my Florentine!H/D commission request in....

Oooh, I like that one! *preens* You flattering flatterer, you! *squishes*

I say it's you! :)

You know how much I love Beuckelaer, though! Obviously you're far classier than a market girl, but they were allegorical, and you can certainly impart a good allegory at 50 paces!

I went with a Raphael for me, though I would love to think of myself as Eleanora-like; her stockings would fit me, we both have stumpy little feet!

Nah, not that much classier to be honest - I do like to swear like a fishwife, which isn't much different! Put me into the right period and hand me poultry, and I'm set. :D

Ooh yes, the Raphael is good! I think that this one is a good alternate image for you as well; look at the mouth. And the GOWN! Mmmmmm. Love that one.

You know, I do have 7m of red silk not doing anything ... I do love her.

Oooh! Make it, make it! It would be fantastic on you.
