blamebramptonBut after the first five minutes, fireworks are just loud, smoky and annoying. And we just had about $5million-worth of them explode over the city. I think I am jaded ...
That said, the 'creation storm' effect they had before the actual fireworks was very cool, we drove through it on the way home from seeing dear darling friends in the far north of the city. It was like lightning, the sort that comes rolling in with the storms after a hot stinking summer day, with pounding thunder following.
After all that, I have a kitty cuddled against me and another who keeps running in to check everything is still all right. Sweet silly kitties!
So far, 2009 is very pleasant and calm. Here's to another 364.925 days of the same!
