Further to yesterday's post ...

The Prime Minister: I have asked the Federal Police to investigate this matter. I would point out that on the occasions I have cocked up in the past I have come straight before the Australian public and the media to say 'Terribly sorry, I seem to have cocked up.' Lying is not really part of my character, have you noticed that I am almost preternaturally earnest and my parents did well to name me Kevin?

The Leader of the Opposition (who has spent all week saying 'You did it!'): Oh, look! Elvis! *runs*

Australian public: Well, that was a storm in a teacup, wasn't it? Is there anything on the telly? Did you hear that Bell Shakespeare is doing Pericles? I'm pretty sure that's not Elvis ...

Ah that's what happens when you have political capital left to spend.

Our lot tried that honesty line we'd laugh. A lot.

Well, you're luckier than us Canucks. Harper is just plain evil. (And he'd throw burning gasoline on whoever dared to suggest he was wrong.)

*amused* Sounds like Helen Clark could do to learn from him :-)

Don't you just love politics where the issue comes back to bite them?

*makes a reminder to see Bram's previous post- have to shoot away for real life.*

yes hello Bell Shakespeare is doing Pericles AND THE PROMOS FEATURE MARCUS GRAHAM WITH NO SHIRT ON ..... Who can think about politics with distractions like these?

I was planning go to the Melbourne season with friends of like tastes but if you were prepared to overlook the crass exploitation of Marcus Graham's glorious chest (have another look - it really is pretty) and go to the Sydney season, I'm just noting that I do happen to be in town during the Sydney run ...
