Are you Kiwis all in one piece?

We have a tsunami warning after your earthquake. It's the feeblest tsunami warning in the world: Stop swimming and stay away from beaches!

In brief news, late but very happy birthday wishes to [livejournal.com profile] drachengreif  from the 13th and [livejournal.com profile] rosiew  for yesterday, I hope you both had splendid days and feel as though you are at ideal ages. Happy birthday for today to [livejournal.com profile] themadpoker ! I hope the present fairy has visited!

Finally, it's less than 24 hours until [livejournal.com profile] azkatrazathome  goes live. I've seen the prompts for the crack drabbles, read the roundtable discussion topics and may have even written a little something. There will be a meet and greet post, and it looks like we'll even end up with a party. If you're not going to Azkatraz itself (and if you are, have a great time), this may well be an excellent way to spend a crazy few days!

I did cringe a little at the tsunami warning, lol, but then I thought - that'd be right, wild bushfires in summer, tsunami waves that reach hundreds of miles inland and flood the town in winter...just the way my year is going. lol.

Lord Howe Island has reported a wavelet, so you should be fine ;-)

Thank you! I had a really good day!

Thank you very much for the birthday wishes. I do not feel my ideal age though, I feel younger and older at the same time. *g* Funny state of being. :)M day wasn't too bad, though. :)

So thanks again. :)

Where, what? We had an earthquake? Think I slept through it (and the tsunami). Sadly no other reason for the earth to have moved, overnight!

Yeah - and the swimming warning is nuts. Bloody cold here. Brrrrr. Trust us kiwis to have a non-earthquake/tsunami after our non-election. It's a trend...

...What kind of tsunami warning is that?!
