Chortling ...

I'm watching an episode of Foyle's War (British crime procedural set during WWII, quite good) and the following conversation just took place --

American Captain: I want someone to come out and give us a talk
Foyle: A talk on what?
American Captain: The English! None of my boys has ever been out of the States before and, frankly, for some of them they feel as if they've landed on another planet. I need someone to come out and tell us what goes on around here ... Until two weeks ago, I didn't even know what a kipper was. We need help.
Foyle: I can see that.

It's not just fandom!

Oh, and if you follow nothing else at [livejournal.com profile] azkatrazathome , do come and check out the drawbles that are appearing in the CCD threads. So very wrong ...

I love Foyles War! *typical English* It's just brilliant! We English are all a bit odd though...I blame it on the tea and the rain...
