Cat's Cradle

I realised why the childhood string game is called cat's cradle today.

Last night Cookie was prancing about with a ball of perle cotton in her mouth, feeling very proud of herself for finding such a treasure.

This evening, when I arrived home, there was a network of threads strung about the living room, around pieces of furniture, through the cat tunnel (in three separate passes), and out into the kitchen. In the middle of the mess were two kitties happily chewing on the threads. I don't think I want to weave anything with that thread anymore ... kitty saliva is a bit manky.

In other kitty news, I have worked out how to podcast! So far all of my test pieces end after a few minutes with "Oof! Monster! You cannot eat the headset, and get off my diaphragm!"
"Mroaw?"
"There are no cats in Sansa's fic!"
"MROAWWWW?"
"You are no help."

Please, please, please POST! I want to hear this *big grin* I bet it's even better than a regular reading without hubbies and cats.

You can have a podcast that is hosted on an flocked journal alone, you know!

I'd like to see that. *plots*

*has instant, screaming orgasm*

*raises hand*

Sorry, thought you were taking requests.

Actually, pretty much anything I said was considered dirty talk due to the accent thing. Which made me saying "Can you PLEASE do the dishes?!" less effective than it might have been. Story of my life.

*strokes chin thoughtfully*

*realises it's been a while since she plucked the old beard*

But surely there's no more of an accessability issue to mp3 files than any other electronic format? If you only post them under flock on your journal and comm they're no more or less copiable than html. I say go for it!

:D

God, I'm good.

[identity profile] blamebrampton.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Give me another week or two and you can feel quite chuffed.

That a deranged person who sounds like a 12-year-old has decided to make a cast of one of your fics with unexpected kitty sound effects.

[identity profile] calanthe-fics.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 01:58 pm (UTC)(link)
A Mile in His Shoes would be a good one for the archive, wouldn't it? I'd love to read that.

*snicker*

*shucks clothes for the hell of it*

Brammers just made the same point. I don't know how these things work, so had no real idea you could limit access.

[identity profile] blamebrampton.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll have to go back through the files on the weekend to find one of the saner ones where I don't keep giggling at my efforts to keep Monny from climbing up my torso!

[identity profile] blamebrampton.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 01:59 pm (UTC)(link)
You're a good soul!

[identity profile] libby-drew.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm supposed to be doing the million and one things one does after returning home from vacation, and you're making me all hot and bothered.

[identity profile] calanthe-fics.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
That section of fic still makes me cringe. I skim it if I ever reread the fic, so saying it would be challenging to say the least.

Way to take one for the team!

Anybody else?

[identity profile] blamebrampton.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:02 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm doing Man's Dwelling Place. We could have the Sansa set!

[identity profile] pingrid.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
There she goes, stealing my point while I'm posting. And in her own journal too! *huffs*

Go forth and say "daddy", your public demands it! ;)

[identity profile] calanthe-fics.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I make myself laugh. When I was thinking about reading other people's fics the other night I went so far as to conclude I wouldn't read anything that wasn't Britpicked. I won't say 'gotten' for anything! At least Sansa gets her fics Britpicked so it wouldn't be a worry.

*shudders*

[identity profile] leochi.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, but that's exactly the kind of audio I would just LOVE to hear :-))) I'm such a sucker for audios of all kinds and very often have a little voice recorder with me to record whatever I think is interesting. (The kids singing or reciting poems etc. at school or my niece, or even my cats meowing...)

[identity profile] blamebrampton.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
SNORT! Stop it or I shall run off and do my hair in Manga buns as a statement of denial.

[identity profile] pingrid.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 02:05 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to hear the kitty!podcasts! :D

It's just that we're secret twins.
