Urgh ...

You remember back when I was freezing in France and I said that despite my whining about the cold, I would be complaining about the heat when I made it back to Sydney?

Mid 30s today, 40-something predicted for tomorrow. Complain, complain, complain!

Reading Sherlock Holmes again, giggling at the wandering Watson wound and Holmes who has no knowledge of literature in the first book, and is quoting Goethe in the second. Joy!

Tomorrow you will find me mostly naked, sitting on a bag of ice, reading Conan Doyle. Probably not the best day to visit.

You know, I had a great-aunt who used to say that, yet a lifetime of sitting on cold stones is yet to bring about any problems. On the other hand, a frostbitten bum is not the best idea. Perhaps I will break out the lime juice and have endless iced lime waters ...

How were your hols? Terrific? Did the snow clear?

Great, yes, and yes, thanks for asking! Now, I have to ask because I am completely ignorant of life in Australia: do they still celebrate a "snowy" Christmas there even though it's summer? What I mean is, do Christmas illustrations, ads, etc, still feature a winter theme? Just curious!
