You remember back when I was freezing in France and I said that despite my whining about the cold, I would be complaining about the heat when I made it back to Sydney?

Mid 30s today, 40-something predicted for tomorrow. Complain, complain, complain!

Reading Sherlock Holmes again, giggling at the wandering Watson wound and Holmes who has no knowledge of literature in the first book, and is quoting Goethe in the second. Joy!

Tomorrow you will find me mostly naked, sitting on a bag of ice, reading Conan Doyle. Probably not the best day to visit.

Hey, time passed, I'm sure it was pertinent to a case for him to suddenly become literate.

That way bladder/tract/thingy infections are born!

Surely it would be too cold for any bacteria! I am considering whether an ice bath would be overkill ;-)

It's fun reading Holmes in order, you can see Conan Doyle rebooting himself.

Yeah, in my language it's called a "cold" but I found no translation for that non-bacterial urinal tract thingy (it hurts).
ETA: no, I don't mean piles.

I know, I read the complete works last year and might have to defriend the Holmes comm now in order not to be more frustrated ;)

Don't do it, you'll get piles! Icy, icy piles.

You know, I had a great-aunt who used to say that, yet a lifetime of sitting on cold stones is yet to bring about any problems. On the other hand, a frostbitten bum is not the best idea. Perhaps I will break out the lime juice and have endless iced lime waters ...

How were your hols? Terrific? Did the snow clear?

Great, yes, and yes, thanks for asking! Now, I have to ask because I am completely ignorant of life in Australia: do they still celebrate a "snowy" Christmas there even though it's summer? What I mean is, do Christmas illustrations, ads, etc, still feature a winter theme? Just curious!

It's -10 Celsius degrees here during the day, care to swap? And I finished all Conan Doyle I had at home, grr.

I desperately wish it was possible to average the weather. We'd both be perfectly comfy at 15!

I am off to buy plane tickets so I may visit tomorrow. Some things are just too good to miss ;p

You will tragically expire in the taxi queue at the airport, which is outside and far too exposed for weather like this. I will mourn your loss for many years!

Heh. Fortunately I escaped that fate. It was too cold to get out of bed this morning so no travel for me ;p
