I slipped a bit further ...

Of course it was equestrian again. Hiroshi Hoketsu, my friends. Japanese millionaire and pharmaceutical management guru. Rode in the 1964 Olympics, putting in a very creditable showjumping performance. Now, 44 years later, back in dressage. He's 67 years old.

His horse is lovely, but was spooked early on in the dressage test by a plane going over (one of the MAJOR downsides of the Hong Kong equestrian centre, along with those stupid big screens) and bolted out of an extended walk. Hiroshi collected his mount and finished his test beautifully, calming his nervous mare and completing with a passage that was textbook.

You can read about his history here. Apparently it is never too late ;-)

AS/S fest reveals are up, so I will be reposting my story shortly as soon as I finish beta-ing a very cool fest story from a bright new writer. Cup of tea and posting break = sorted.

*gets to keep Art Deco hat* *is pleased* YAY for Snatched! It really held me hostage the entire day, I could hardly concentrate on anything before I'd finished it. Brilliant. :D

Is relieved, Hats Matter!

Thanks so much for your cheering on it, I felt very chirpy after reading your comment! Hee, hostage joke, you funny!

Oh god, I didn't even realise that I'd made a hostage joke. *is dim* Must be the subconscious, always popping up somewhere or other. :) And Snatched deserves every bit of squee it got, and tons more!

Even a subconscious pun is a good pun!
