In the broad church that is fandom, anon hate memes are the Westboro Baptists.

If you can't bring yourself to ignore them, make amusing signs, dress up as a super-hero, stage a same-sex kiss-in in response, but for the love of bunnies, don't let them get you down!

Oh it's the quintessence of lamity, and mostly centred in fandom: basically an anonymous community in which someone says, for example 'I hate XXXX (this being a specific and normal person, not a public figure), she's a stuck-up cow', and other people (presumably, it's all anon, so it could be the one person with far too much time on their hands) chime in with similar banality.

It's the fandom equivalent of being hit on by the really slimy mature-aged student at university: nasty and potentially traumatising, but in a way, it signifies you're having an impact ;-)
