In non-Leochi celebrating news ...
Woke up a bit late this morning, staggered into the bathroom feeling quite horrible. It was 8am. At 8.30am I had managed to wee, wash my hands and brush my teeth in the correct order and without mishaps, but that was all and I had a fairly clear idea that anything more complicated than that would probably be beyond me. I called into work and went back to bed. And woke up at 5pm. The cats were sitting on J's pillow quietly looking at me, with mildly worried expressions ("If she never wakes up, who will feed us when the man is playing internet spaceships?")
Since then, I have had two naps.
This whole sickness thing is not funny. I think I have not had enough sunlight this winter and need more Vitamin D in my diet. Though I eat loads of eggs and vegies. Still, some sunning tomorrow, and a giant garlic sandwich.
I have friends coming to stay tomorrow night, I will warn them and let them decide whether or not they wish to risk the plague.
Actually, have a spot more
leochi celebration, go and check out her Snape tarot card here. It's beautiful!

I hope that your napping helps. You should train your cats to bring you kleenex and juise and things. Maybe J could tie mini-kegs of juice around their necks so when they are monitoring your aliveness, you could get a drink?

The thing with the damned flu is that, while a fairly common and minor disease, it does leave you completely and utterly ran over by a freight train. Are you running a fever? Are you taking vit C? And personal experience speaking, curling around a warm, mildly worried for you cat does wonders to the health state.
I keep forgetting it's actually winter someplaces in the world. :thoughtful: How are your winters? Harsh ot mild? :suddenly curious:
Feel better soon! ♥

(Anonymous) 2008-08-29 06:24 am (UTC)(link)You need some of C's awesome garlic oven baked chunky fries (potato and sweet potato) - they will not only kill any germs within olfactory distance, but they taste great too.
I give you great credit for offering your friends the choice. I always feel awful when friends get sick and we have stuff planned, because with my immune system, I want to say 'hey, I love/like you, but I really don't need your germs' - and that feels like crap.
Are you sure the cats weren't simply wondering about the best way to smother you in your sleep, so they could feast on your fresh remains? I'm sure that's what mine would do. ;)
Wishing you well thoughts, honey.
