Oh bloody hell ...

The back door was wide open (we suspect Monster). Both cats could not be found, a quick squawk brought Mon out from her hiding place under the outside table (hurrah for an agoraphobic cat!), but Cookie is still missing 40 minutes later. Everything else is suspended until the return of the little cat!

Cookie is found! She was asleep in a half-open drawer the whole time! That cat could sleep for England ... HURRAH! and PHEW!

Let us know when you find Cookie.

Ours have hidden in fear behind planters, hidden under the next door neighbours bed, and... er... been in the house all the time.

I have hopes that she is in the house, she can hide for England ... but she was an outdoor cat before she went to the pound and came here, so she may have decided to embark on an adventure. I've done a lap of the streets and called out quite a bit, now I am just waiting very, very nervously. If she is not back by tomorrow, I will take the day off and canvas the neighbourhood. At least she is tagged!

FOUND! She was sound asleep in a drawer, ignoring my shouts and shaking of the kibble pot. Thank goodness! She shows a deep lack of concern for my panic, though submitted amicably to all the hugs that were lavished upon her when I spotted a glimpse of her furry little bum between the towels.

Bloody cats!

I'm so glad you found her. Another of my LJ friends was sure and certain that hers had got out because she had looked everywhere - except, of course, in the chest of drawers because "though other cats had got in there, the hole was too small for her..."

Nope.

No hole is ever too small! Mon is twice the size of Cookie, and we have several times watched as she squished herself into Cookie spots by dint of wedging in the first part of herself, then the next, then the next, sucking in the fatty bits as needed, and making more space with her paws where she can. It usually ends well, except when she jumps behind the sofa, where she has room to get in, but not out!
