Oh bloody hell ...

The back door was wide open (we suspect Monster). Both cats could not be found, a quick squawk brought Mon out from her hiding place under the outside table (hurrah for an agoraphobic cat!), but Cookie is still missing 40 minutes later. Everything else is suspended until the return of the little cat!

Cookie is found! She was asleep in a half-open drawer the whole time! That cat could sleep for England ... HURRAH! and PHEW!

Fingers crossed! She has snuck outside once before and was cheerfully chasing a grasshopper in the side garden, and on her first day here she spent 8 hours hiding in the chimney -- if I am very lucky she will appear soon having been asleep in a secret Cookie spot the whole time. Or I will chew off all my nails ...

Will cross everything for a speedy safe cookie return :)

Thank you!

She is back! As you guessed it was another false alarm. Monster is also clearly also relieved, although she totally fails at cat detection. I am going to build a cat-finding robot!
