One thing I often tell people is not to break their foot. It's bad for you. You should also not break your nose. You should especially not break your nose to the point that you end up with a deviated septum, because if you get a cold, sometimes you end up with sinuses full of snot for days if not weeks on end and it is both disgusting and unpleasant.

Now that you are all either moving on to the next person on your flist or going 'EWWWW!', ROYAL WEDDING DAY IS HERE! This is grand news for three reasons. 1. We had an early mark to go home and watch. 2. Some genius brought Pimms into work and there is an unusual degree of sozzledness at this end. 3. Minor royals and their terrible fashions!

The ABC has started with its BBC coverage, and Huw the Unhappy. At least their Random People to Question are a bit more pertinent than the few minutes of Channel 9 coverage I saw. There's Kate's head master from school, bless him. 'She's nice, her family are nice, yay nice!' is the gist of his commentary.

I'm tremendously tempted to liveblog it as though it were Eurovision, but to be honest, I am here so that I can drink some hot choc out of my terrifically tacky commemorative mug and giggle at the hats. Ladies -- never wear a hat bigger than your shoulders to an indoor event. All else aside, it makes navigation and seating awkward.

I like her dress - the fact that she has sleeves means that should I marry Dan Radcliffe in the next decade, there will be plenty of dresses with sleeves to hide my bingo wings!

She has myrtle in her boquet. HARRY POTTER FANS.

Yes, she looks modern and classic all at once. Great choice!

The teeny bridesmaids are APPALLINGLY ADORABLE! Their nervous glances! Their concentrating faces!

The little one on screen left looks like she could be full of mischief!

Yes! It's almost as though she is having to remind herself that good behaviour will be rewarded with cake and pressies, bad behaviour with going to bed early.

She's now been stuffed in an ante-chamber with a packet of sweeties.

An hour later, they try to keep awake......

I hate to think what time those poor girls would have had to been awake. And their parents.

I hope they did the girls' hair while they were sleeping!

A really good way of keeping them still...... Unless they are a wriggly sleeper!

That's why flower wreaths are so popular -- cover a multitude of childish sins!

Bless. I'm how imagining her sitting on the floor in a pile of taffeta and silk, madly colouring in.

It really is - very turn the other cheek! He read it very well - very poised and measured.

Very.... English of him.

I love it when people make such remarks like that in a very careful, poised voice that you just can not reply without making a scene :)
