Oh lord ...

Everything I had to say has been rendered less important by the news that the current issue of Oggi (Italian popular magazine), with Amanda Knox on the cover, comes with a free set of knives. Every time I think that I am in a position to be able to satirise the Italian media, reality shows me that I am nowhere close.

Buying a bicycle on Saturday. Very happy about it :-) Mr B paying for half, so even happier. He's luverly!

Bloody hell!

I'd like to see anyone try that in the UK. They'd get banned so fast they wouldn't know what hit them.

On the other hand, they would probably argue that it was a restriction of trade...

If only they had not been insanely pro-Knox through the whole trial, I might be tempted to applaud their audacity or sly editorial comment ...

I will! (And will also finish editing you-know-what v soon. Have been slowed down by need to catch up on necessities such as clothes washing, lest I show up at work in a ballgown (NB, no. Ballgowns are only suitable wash-day wear at university.)

I never wore one when I was up.

I love this. May I link to here from [livejournal.com profile] theboringclub where I just posted the "A Magazine Is An iPad That Does Not Work" video? It would fit in so well!

Gotta love the Italians! I actually have been looking at graduate programs in Europe and there is actually a really good one in Italy. Hmmm.

Ahhhh Italy...there's no place in the world like it. It is the ONLY place I have ever been where we drive down what has to be one of the most insane highways ever ( tangancial Milan) and get passed by truckers READING newspapers as they drive.

They do however know a thing or two about coffee.
