So, Australian politics …

Many of you may be wondering, after an eventful day, just what was going on there?

Fucked if I know.

Will try to represent the madness in fictional form on the weekend, but let me just say that it is very close to being beyond satirising.

I wanted to post about it earlier, but then I thought... meh, I can't be bothered. By the time I get around to it, it'll be over, anyway, and the whole thing just makes me kind of tetchy. Why don't they just give up now and just hand the election to Abbott? Or, oh, I don't know, MAYBE GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER and sort themselves out?

Actually, if I thought the people of Australia could survive a term of the Mad Monk, I would suggest handing it to him, just so we could throw him out next time.

I'm not sure we could survive the inoculation, though.

I'm looking forward to the fictionalised version. It'll probably be more comprehensible than what I've read online, anyway.

Then again, your economy has been booming for blooming two decades (ever since I left).

Oh, it's a nightmare, isn't it? I mean, this whole debacle has just about guaranteed us Abbott for next PM, and he really scares me.

I wish they'd stop shooting themselves in the foot.
Scares fuck the out of me. I am going to make an effort to get my citizenship so I can vote for anyone other than Abbott. *shudders*

I can only compare it to the battle in the Department of Mysteries in the 5th movie. There seems to be a lot of noise and shouting and flashes of deadly intent but I've totally lost track of who is firing at whom or what on earth they intend to accomplish. We'll just wait till the smoke clears to count the bodies.

Where's Jason Isaacs in a blond wig? That'd make everything all right.
