It is 8.10 on Sunday morning

I am awake, after a grand total of about 3 hours of sleep, and I am so filled with delight after The Day of the Doctor that I am not sure I can go back to bed.

No spoilers, because I know a lot of Aussies will be watching it tonight, but it is a thing of great joy and beauty and if you do not breathe a little gasp of surprise and wipe away a tear in the last five minutes, then you are Gen Y or lacking a soul.

Oh Doctor … it is the only show that I was allowed to watch as a child, you know. My father was wise.

Loved it! And there was a period when I was a child that Mum wouldn't let me watch it - because a few episodes gave me nightmares..... Yes I was a delicate petal with a massive imagination...still can't watch a lot of suspense/ horror stuff by myself...

I sometimes had to watch from behind a sofa AND behind a hand: I cannot believe how scared I was of the nuclear worms, which look like glow in the dark condoms when you look at them as an adult :-) And yet I was still anxious when I saw that ep again a few years back …

And yes! It was fab! So worth getting up for!
