It is 8.10 on Sunday morning

I am awake, after a grand total of about 3 hours of sleep, and I am so filled with delight after The Day of the Doctor that I am not sure I can go back to bed.

No spoilers, because I know a lot of Aussies will be watching it tonight, but it is a thing of great joy and beauty and if you do not breathe a little gasp of surprise and wipe away a tear in the last five minutes, then you are Gen Y or lacking a soul.

Oh Doctor … it is the only show that I was allowed to watch as a child, you know. My father was wise.

T'was wonderful. So many precious moments. I had spent the morning bemoaning the "Americanisation" of the doctor into and uber-space hero with "girlfriends" not companions over the last series, but was delighted to be able to eat my words.
